Temple Boba was conceived to offer a standout Elegant Asian influenced instagram worthy location for Bubble Tea on the Northside of Brisbane.

We were given complete autonomy on the design and relished this, fundamentally conceiving a tone on tone palette. The concept was developed by starting with the ceiling, making it over height and a real feature, something we love to do. A grid ceiling conceals all services and lighting and is painted in the custom plum colour mixed for this project. The walls are hand finished venetian plaster allowing users to experience a change in texture as the light hits it from different angles.

Lighting was a major component, a mix of concealed down lights, hidden LED and glass wall lights illuminate the tone on tone aesthetic. Central to the entire space is the custom made glass block feature wall, illuminated from behind with a colour changing LED perimeter and made the hero with the brands logo applied centrally. This wall has been the centrepiece of many an instagram feature.

A natural Viola marble features as the first impression bar as well as the counter top and a subtle asian influence in the rice paper pendant light above it.
