This project was designed, first and foremost, to embody the Stranahan’s brand—a company founded right here in the Roaring Fork Valley, whose identity aligns with the classic Colorado lifestyle. A touch rustic, a touch western, a touch cowboy, and a profound love for the outdoors. The design team aimed for this space to feel like Aspen’s living room—residential in the atmosphere, as if you just stepped into someone’s warm, cozy cabin, with knickknacks scattered about and an organic, collected-over-time charm. Golden-toned woods and décor details against black paint subtly incorporate Stranahan’s primary brand colors, while a copper bar front nods to the significance of copper in the whiskey distillation process. A small private tasting room in the back features a more traditional polish, harkening back to Colorado’s Victorian past with copper tin ceilings and fleur-de-lis wallpaper above dark stained wood wainscoting.
