Mekong’s design, spearheaded by Interior International, draws inspiration from the diverse cultures of China, Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, and Myanmar, creating a space where heritage and refinement blend seamlessly. Dark woods and intricate gold accents evoke the traditional décor of the region, while dramatic round doors welcome guests into an intimate dining experience centered around a live show kitchen.
Custom artwork by Diana Graca, crafted from fabrics sourced along the river’s path, adds depth to the environment, echoing the cultural tapestry of the Mekong. The space features central island seating and smaller tables, encouraging a personal dining experience that mirrors the familial customs of the river’s communities.
Nature plays a key role in the design, with an overwater deck and indoor floating pods that offer tranquil views of the lagoon, reminiscent of the calm riverbanks. The restaurant’s warm, immersive ambiance transports guests to the heart of the Mekong, delivering an unforgettable sensory experience rooted in both tradition and luxury.
