A vibrant addition to Virginia Beach’s Atlantic Avenue, Moxy Virginia Beach Oceanfront blends vintage boardwalk charm with the brand’s playful energy. The 134-key property features vibrant colors, unique amenities, and whimsical details, creating an immersive experience for guests of all ages.

Inspired by the phrase "come play in our sandbox," the design fuses Virginia Beach’s surf culture with modern touches reflecting the city’s revival. Guests are welcomed by soaring seagull sculptures, a two-story slide, and a playground-style picnic area. Nostalgic nods like a Zoltar fortune-telling machine and octopus-inspired art installations add whimsy and fun, anchored by the property’s playful mascot.

Custom boardwalk-inspired lamp posts are strategically placed at columns, offering ample illumination while complementing the exposed ceiling and playful design. The retro palette—weathered woods, woven textures, and patina’d metals—blurs the line between beach and hotel.

The seven-story property boasts a bar, lounge, oceanfront pool with a sunken bar, and a seaside patio with lawn games. A beachfront diner pays homage to a beloved local spot, celebrating Virginia Beach’s culture.
