The transformation of Umana Bali reimagines a 72-villa clifftop resort into Southeast Asia’s first LXR Hotels & Resorts, harmonizing with Bali’s Tri Hita Karana philosophy—balancing people, nature, and the divine. The renovation preserves existing structures, landscapes, and materials, minimizing waste and ecological disruption while celebrating the locale.
In line with Hilton’s global commitment to responsible tourism, Umana Bali endeavors to preserve the natural beauty of its surroundings and integrate it into the stunning cliffside landscape. The resort emphasizes the extensive use of locally sourced materials, using local stone for the pool, pathways, roads, and walls. The selection of local plant species further exemplifies a dedication to crafting a cliffside landscape that is both sustainable and ecologically attuned. Native landscaping fosters biodiversity and reduces water use, while outdoor dining areas unlock new experiences with ocean views. Rooted in cultural reverence and environmental responsibility, Umana Bali offers a timeless, immersive luxury experience that honors Bali’s essence.
