This resort’s interior design is a seamless fusion of contemporary luxury and traditional Arabesque influences. The design highlights local culture through intricate wood carvings, and artworks that adorn public spaces, immersing guests in the rich heritage of Ras Al Khaimah. Wilson Associates’ interiors evoke intrigue with an elegant palette of natural wood, wicker, and wool, sourced locally and sustainably.
The guest experience begins in a grand courtyard where fire meets water, leading to a towering triple-storey arched roof crafted to recall a local dhow and a striking chandelier by Kolektiv Ateliers, composed of hand-blown glass baubles that sway like desert winds through the trees. Floor-to-ceiling glass windows frame breathtaking views of the lagoon, offering a serene connection to nature from the plush interiors.
Throughout the resort, Arabesque motifs, Mashrabiya wall designs, and ombré curtains enhance the interiors, while traditional thatched roofs and palm-frond walkways in the overwater villas add a touch of exotic elegance. Sustainable, recycled materials ensure that the design complements both the environment and the luxurious experience, a hallmark of Anantara.
