The original building facade appeared cluttered. The design used a minimalist geometric red grid frame to form a complete appearance?achieving a lightweight renovation. The red color allows the hotel to stand out amidst greenery. At the entrance, a dramatically cantilevered stainless steel canopy creates visual tension, complemented by glass brick walls and gridded aluminum profiles that enrich material variation and visual balance.
The lobby adopts the design method of suppressing first and then promoting: solid walls shield the entrance from disturbances, leaving only a transparent glass entry, while a narrow south-facing courtyard channels light and creates scenery. Wooden grilles, glass bricks, and interplaying light and shadow cultivate a tranquil ambiance.
The restaurant also uses a space strategy that is first depressed and then elevated. Guests transition from a dim elevator hall into the restaurant lobby, guided by light under a suspended terrazzo wall. They then enter a bright dining area where the forest landscape is fully revealed. The indoor color echo the facade. Solid walls along windows divide space and conceal structural columns to create view frames.
