A cascading retreat on Bali’s eastern coast framed by the horizon of Mount Agung and the sea.
Rooted in Patterns’ vision of contemporary Balinese design, the resort steps with the natural terrain, translating the island’s volcanic formations into a series of terraced architectural volumes. Local materials such as volcanic stone, Balinese tiles, and native woods are reinterpreted with a refined contemporary sensibility, giving the project a distinct tactile presence.
Comprising 60 keys ranging from studio suites to private villas and penthouses, the resort is organized as a cascading composition oriented toward the water. A reception, restaurant, spa, and central terraced pool with a swim-up bar form the social heart of the resort. Throughout, the design cultivates a careful balance of openness and intimacy: panoramic vistas unfold from rooms and terraces, while sheltered courtyards and lush vegetated edges offer quiet moments of retreat. The result is an immersive dialogue between landscape and architecture.
