Located in Huangnidong Village, the project transforms a derelict stone-mining site into a destination where the hotel serves as an organic extension of the historic town.
The design honors the "Mountain-Stone-Sea" ecosystem. By restoring 50 ancient dwellings and repurposing 14 natural caverns into 80 guest rooms, the project preserves the site’s raw "Stone Culture." Guests do not merely visit; they inhabit the history of the quarry. The spatial narrative integrates local marine heritage and folk traditions, ensuring the "Sense of Place" is felt through textured stone masonry and the preservation of original topographical elevations.
Moving beyond traditional lodging, the project introduces diverse public "social anchors" that blend with the village fabric. This organic renewal breathes new life into the settlement, creating a sustainable retreat that respects the historic context while offering contemporary luxury. It is a sanctuary where the architecture grows from the earth, inviting guests to live within the legacy of the stone.
