Casa del Mar is a luxury beachfront residence in Juanillo, Cap Cana, conceived as a serene dialogue between architecture, landscape, and the Caribbean Sea. The design is defined by simple, overlapping volumes that create a gradual transition between land, sea, and sky, allowing the house to be experienced through movement, framed views, and changing light.
Arrival unfolds as a sensory sequence: an interactive wooden entrance door formed by movable panels leads to a linear path framed by water features, tropical gardens, and a textured stone wall that appears to float above a reflecting pool. This journey culminates in a generous covered terrace that opens fully toward the ocean, where a beach-entry swimming pool in light beige tones echoes the natural sand and the clarity of the sea.
Interior and exterior spaces dissolve through large glazed openings and double-height volumes, ensuring continuous visual connections to the landscape. The residence consists of a two-level main house and a separate guest house, integrated within a lush tropical setting. A cast-in-place reinforced concrete structure with lightweight slabs enables long spans, clean cantilevers, and flexible interiors.
