Unconventional, dynamic and unapologetically playful, The Standard, Singapore redefines the urban retreat through a landscape that performs as much as it soothes. Inspired by the layered ecologies of the UNESCO Botanic Gardens and charged with the spirit of 90’s Hollywood, the design transforms a compact 3300sqm site into a lush stage where nature, culture and wellness converge. Over forty percent of the footprint is dedicated to greenery, with native planting, biodiversity support and smart irrigation systems embedding sustainability as a lived experience. At its heart, a vibrant courtyard links lobby to pool terrace through stepped landscapes, layered planting and shifting light, unfolding as a journey of discovery. Caves, terraces and hidden pockets blur boundaries in a weaving interplay. Art drives the narrative, not as ornament but as provocation. Sculptural gestures, whimsical platforms and interactive installations spark curiosity, delight and connection. The result is a sensorial pop biophilic wonderland, an immersive hospitality landscape that celebrates creativity and the pulse of tropical life.
