This former queen’s palace within Qila Mubarak, has been meticulously transformed into Punjab’s first luxury palace hotel through an interior design vision that bridges heritage and contemporary elegance. Conservation architect Abha Narain Lambah revived original arches, painted ceilings, jharokhas and intricate motifs, which now anchor the interiors. The 35 suites follow jewel-inspired themes: Pearl with layered whites reflecting Mughal purity; Sapphire with the palace’s signature blue; Topaz with hues drawn from mustard fields and Jamawar shawls; and Coral with plush velvets and mirrored details echoing sheesh mahals. Throughout, custom wallpapers, restored fresco patterns, bespoke carpets and crystal lighting reinterpret royal aesthetics for modern comfort. Public spaces—including the durbar hall reborn as Neel with equestrian-inspired detailing, the opulent Patiala bar, and AURA wellness spaces—blend historical craftsmanship with refined contemporary finishes. The result is an immersive interior environment that reimagines Punjab’s royal heritage with modern luxury and artistry.
