The interior of the AMAR welcome center is part of a large-scale cultural, educational, and recreational complex emerging on the shores of Lake Baikal — the deepest lake in the world. Designed by Babayants Architects, the space reflects the surrounding nature through sculptural forms and tactile materials. A central water feature with a symbolic tree, glass benches reminiscent of frozen lake surfaces, and a palette of warm sand tones and cool stone create an atmosphere of calm immersion. Inspired by trees, dunes, light, and water, the design dissolves the boundary between architecture and nature, inviting guests into a contemplative dialogue with the landscape.
