Regent Santa Monica Beach marks IHG Hotels & Resorts’ first Americas destination and flagship resort under its reimagined Regent luxury and lifestyle portfolio. Formerly the Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel, prized by visitors and locals alike, the renovation and repositioning redefines luxury with an emphasis on residential-style specialty suites alongside guestrooms totaling 167 keys. Balancing coastal California’s relaxed elegance with Mediterranean richness, the interiors feature cobalt blues, deep greens, warm oak and walnut millwork, striated marble, organic textures, and hand-painted Gracie wallcoverings. Four distinct design schemes shape specialty suites—French Riviera, Amalfi Coast, Aegean Sea, and Andalusian Coast—each inspired by a facet of a yacht’s journey and appointed with custom furnishings, handcrafted textiles, and curated artworks. Seven event venues, including a 6,100-square-foot ballroom with a 3,000-square-foot foyer, provide an impressive backdrop for gatherings. The 10,000-square-foot Guerlain Spa, the brand’s first on the U.S. West Coast, and the Azure Pool with its plush cabanas and coastal-inspired textiles complete an iconic beachfront destination.
