M HOTEL – VERTICAL GARDEN BY THE EAST SEA
The 25-story M Hotel breaks from the rigid 'black box' architecture of coastal high-rises. Inspired by the Marble Mountains, it embodies a 'winding stream on a rocky mountain surface' to evoke nature in the city. Its exterior combines fair-faced concrete with dense, winding native vegetation, seamlessly blending the architecture with the natural landscape
Engineering feats include a 9-meter column-free cantilevered entrance and a single column supporting a 200-ton rooftop pool.
To enhance guest experience, 50% of each floor is dedicated to open gardens and circulation, maximizing natural light and ventilation, unlike other traditional enclosed corridors Facade greenery acts as a 'natural curtain,' reducing heat and saving energy. The fair-faced concrete ensures lasting aesthetics and eliminates costly maintenance common in coastal climates. The rooftop has two infinity pools with city and sea views, while nighttime lighting creates a 'fireflies in the forest' effect.
Commercially, the hotel achieved 90% occupancy, with international guests paying up to double the rates of competitors. M Hotel is now a catalyst for regional green design.
