This Michelin-starred Chinese restaurant, located in Studio City Macau with approximately 70 a la carte seats and 5 private dining rooms, underwent a renovation inspired by the concept of “Pearl Dragon Diving Through Clouds”, a theme that poetically echoes the Chinese characters in its name.
The ceiling features multi-layered gilded cloud reliefs. Natural mother-of-pearl is intricately crafted into dragon-scale patterns on the walls, while golden dragons soar through mist across the art glass screens.
A stylized carpet flows through the main dining room like water, incorporating the elegant strokes of Chinese brushwork.
The concepts of “Pearl” and “Dragon” are revealed through distinctive design elements: crystal glass light globes suspended above central dining tables and affixed to art glass screens; mother-of-pearl in dragon-scale motifs on wall and column panels, adding texture, depth, and luminosity; and dragons depicted soaring from screen to screen, their pearlescent scales flashing with gold cloisonné lining and enamelwork as they wheel between cloud and mountain.
Every detail reflects a seamless fusion of artisanal craftsmanship and contemporary aesthetics.
