This bespoke five-star hotel suite in Aspen, Colorado, is part of a hotel-within-a-hotel concept developed by two international hospitality brands. Conceived as an elegant retreat, the design creates an intimate and memorable guest experience through spaces that are deliberately understated and held in lyrical balance.
Proportion and light were carefully orchestrated to shape a sequence of moments and discovery. Custom furniture and lighting were designed exclusively for the project and crafted in Italy by master artisans. Twentieth-century American artworks and collectible design pieces sourced throughout Europe introduce layers of history and refinement.
Light is treated as an essential architectural element, extending beyond function to encourage tactile, contemplative moments. By embracing the duality of illumination, the design allows soft contrasts and shadows to create a romantic chiaroscuro.
The living room centers on a seating area adorned with Hermès textiles and a coffee table featuring a hand-blown bowl by Aleksandra Zawistowska. A cantilevered bar cabinet animates Baccarat crystal, while curated artworks provide a timeless presence throughout the suite.
