Panglao Shores reimagines hospitality as a living dialogue between architecture, sustainability, and the coastal landscape. This USD 2M public space commission brings innovation through organic design and local craftsmanship.
Inside the lobby and conference ceilings, over one kilometer of plastic finishes were replaced with handwoven rattan. These natural forms converge into vortex-like patterns—a digital simulation of energy in motion. The result is an immersive spatial experience that radiates warmth, tactility & ecological consciousness.
At the heart of the resort, the event pavilion—a 95 sqm shell-inspired structure—embraces natural ventilation through its amoebic form and shell-like shingles. This design enhances guest comfort while harmonizing with the sea & sand palette. The stair sculpture, a closed-loop rattan installation interwoven with colorful recycled fabric, symbolizes continuity & connection, anchoring the resort’s narrative of harmony between people & planet.
Through these innovations, Panglao Shores delivers environmental responsibility, emotional resonance & aesthetic excellence—defining a new benchmark for sustainable coastal luxury.
