The intent for The Ray was to make guests feel like they were on the beach while in a more urban setting. The design brings understated elegance with an eclectic and curated approach. Every aspect was carefully conceived to ensure a sublime guest experience. The lobby lounge merges the flair of Palm Beach with the glamour of Italy’s Amalfi Coast in the 1930s and 1940s, bringing it all to present day. Art was a key element throughout. The nature and tropical elements extend into the interiors throughout. There is also an old-world European element with the cobblestone floor tiles in the patisserie and its deep azure blue walls. Visitors are sure to be pleasantly surprised upon entering the guestrooms and suites. Here it was important to include unique elements so that they feel like they have escaped to a serene tropical oasis. The spaces are well-appointed, introducing a modern and eclectic aesthetic. Everything was methodically conceived, from the custom-made furniture to the hand-woven rugs, the hand-carved marble wainscoting in the bathroom, which is complemented by rich custom wall covering that adds extra panache.
