Electric Shuffle’s design was inspired by the pioneers of electrical technology, creating an interior which blends the beauty of vintage power stations with the lustre of Art Deco. The fusion of these ideas manifested itself in an aesthetic described as the 'beautiful factory'. The Studio created bespoke lighting, furniture & wall finishes to produce a scheme which is vibrant, contemporary, unique & electric. The main bar comprises a dramatic double height, power plant-inspired design paying homage to the 1940’s factory aesthetic & the early designs of electrical transmission experiments. The large bespoke rotating light feature is suggestive of an electrical turbine & the copper accented fluted timber detailing creates the illusion of innumerable copper tubes ‘powering’ the venue. The first-floor bar features a modern re-interpretation of utilitarian factory panelling, rendered in vivid electric blue, which has been overlaid with embellished meshes & bespoke bronze domes, in a pattern reminiscent of electrical circuitry. The essence of the interior design is a blend of the glamour of the Art Deco period fused with the grandeur & faded elegance of early 20th century power plants.
