Renovating historic apartments in general pose a challenge. Further, transforming these types of buildings to modern spaces while preserving the history and significant features of the existing structure, requires state-of-the-art savoir faire. For Apartment Luxe however, not only did Studioforma protect the historic attributes of the 19th century building, but they also emphasised the classic forms. Edgy and modern design elements are blended to achieve a peculiar and harmonious space whilst retaining its character.
Natural light floods the atmosphere, emphasising the openings, making the space significantly larger, eliminating visual obstacles and hidden areas. The overall off-white tones draw attention to and highlight the floors which are as refined as the dark hardwood wall,?exuding elegance and serenity. After the vibrant Carrara marble fireplace, the overall white breaks. Moving towards the royal blue room a featuring modern sculptural red table, sofa, and carpet covered in shades of blue fabric. The mouldings and wall details are conceptualised in a contrasting material to create a dramatic effect. Apartment Luxe is elegant, well-thought-out, and perfectly space aware.
