The transformation of Umana Bali reimagines a 72-villa clifftop resort into Southeast Asia’s first LXR Hotels & Resorts, harmonizing with Bali’s Tri Hita Karana philosophy—balancing people, nature, and the divine. The renovation preserves existing structures, landscapes, and materials, minimizing waste and ecological disruption while celebrating local culture and craftsmanship.

At the heart of the redesign, the lobby offers panoramic ocean views, with a custom chandelier inspired by Legong dancers and a grand art installation reflecting Bali’s terraced paddy fields, hand-finished by local artisans. The Pad Pool Bar opens on all sides to the pool and gardens, blurring indoor and outdoor spaces.

Villas feature repurposed furniture and sustainably sourced, handcrafted elements like rattan weavings, complemented by family-friendly communal spaces that connect with lush gardens. Traditional customs and objects blend seamlessly into spatial experiences, inspiring social interaction and fostering a vibrant sense of community. This artful integration invites guests to immerse themselves in Balinese culture, woven into every aspect of this sustainable, ecologically attuned resort.
