Citadines Canal Amsterdam is a 17th-century weaver's housing quarters that is beautifully restored into a boutique aparthotel in Amsterdam's famous canal district.

The creative vision draws heavily from the history of the weaver's houses and the intricate patterns and textures of traditional weaving, reflecting the artisanal heritage of the buildings. This homage is woven into the contemporary interiors, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Original architectural features like beams and brickwork are preserved and highlighted, blending seamlessly with modern furnishings, and materials are chosen to create a tactile experience echoing the weaving process.

In addition to revitalising heritage architecture, it promotes sustainable tourism with eco-friendly amenities, including electric car charging points, energy-efficient systems, and zero-energy gym equipment.

By repurposing historical structures and referencing the traditional trades, Citadines Canal Amsterdam contributes to the cultural preservation of Amsterdam's heritage in a sustainable and culturally sensitive manner.
