W Sardinia Poltu Quatu is a curated journey through land, sea, and story. Throughout the resort, guests move through unfolding spaces, from intimate grotto-like corridors to open social areas overlooking the marina. Set across dramatic changes in level, the resort embraces Sardinia’s layered terrain to create a natural sense of discovery, reflecting the island’s dialogue between past and present, myth and material.
The lobby draws from legends of the Janas, fairy-like guardians believed to inhabit Sardinian caves. Sculptural forms and layered lighting reference coral gardens, shipwrecks, and shifting sands. A palette of sun washed neutrals, sandy tones, and deep marine blues is paired with ceramics and reflective finishes. Original arched openings and preserved Orosei marble flooring are paired with custom details that introduce a sense of movement inspired by water. The W Lounge extends this narrative through tactile materials—rope lighting, ceramic surfaces, and a commissioned mural by Kooness depicting the Phoenician goddess Tanit. At Tanit, the seafood restaurant named for the same goddess, organic plaster forms and sweeping marina views create an immersive dining experience.
