LIV HOSPITALITY DESIGN AWARDS RECOGNIZE EXCELLENCE IN HOSPITALITY ARCHITECTURE, INTERIOR DESIGN, AND GUEST EXPERIENCE, ON A GLOBAL SCALE.

The mission of the LIV Hospitality Design Awards is to celebrate the quality and diversity of architectural ventures and interior design projects shaping the worldwide hospitality industry today. The program was launched in 2020 and is an inclusive platform, that pursues and rewards exceptional projects within LIVING and EATING spaces.

We believe in the power of architecture and interior design to shape our living experience.

Selected by our esteemed jury of architects, designers, hoteliers, developers, and leaders in the fields of architectural and interior design, the annual winners will receive the LIV Awards trophy, extensive publicity showcasing their designs to an international audience, and more.

LIV Hospitality Design Awards stands for the best LIVING space.

Society constantly redefines space. Hospitality responds by embracing these changes, whether through the introduction of new accommodation concepts, or by focusing on lifestyle, design, and the lived experience of guests.

From short-term rental to private housing, beach resorts to boutique hotels, campervans to co-living, today’s types of accommodation have never been more diverse.

LIV Hospitality Design Awards stands for the best EATING space.

Local specialty restaurants are expanding globally, food courts are synonyms of diversity, and fine dining is a multi-sensorial experience; the options available in the food and beverage industry are in constant evolution, offering exciting new concepts, different atmospheres, designs, colors, and textures for both our taste buds and our eyes.

Simply put, from a cocktail bar to a food court, Michelin-starred establishment to an event space, food truck to a private club, the food and beverage scene has never been as exciting as it is today.

Hospitality architecture and interior designs are key factors in guest satisfaction and benchmarks for the level of service, quality, and comfort that a guest expects. The LIV Hospitality Design Awards strive to support and promote inspired and inspiring projects by professional designers, as well as fresh and stimulating work created by emerging designers and students

JUDGING CRITERIA

The evaluation process for entries to the LIV Hospitality Design Awards is based on various judging criteria, constantly adapted to new technical, social, economic, and ecological requirements. These criteria are not comprehensive and not all criteria are applied to each project. They simply provide an orientation framework and basis for judging, which is complemented by each juror’s expertise and socio-cultural background.

Each member of the Jury is passionately committed to providing a fair evaluation. Jury members are assigned categories based on their specific backgrounds and expertise and all projects are viewed and judged randomly and anonymously, to ensure unbiased and fair judging.

The judging criteria include the following:

  • Aesthetics — form, shape, colour, texture, finishing, the material used, etc
  • Innovation — does the design provide something new to the market or supplement/improve an existing structure?
  • Practicality / Functionality – ease of cleaning, safety, maintenance…
  • Ergonomics — How is the interaction with the client? Space optimization?
  • Durability — the quality and longevity of the design and Architecture
  • Impact — the benefit delivered to the client and/or society by the Design
  • Integration about the integration of the project into its local environment
  • Ecological compatibility — potential environmental and/or ecological impact
  • Emotional quotient — in addition to fulfilling its practical purpose, does this Living space create a sense of enjoyment and satisfaction?
