Luis Galofre
Marriott International / Director of F&B Design & Development CALA (Caribbean and Latin America)
Luis brings 17+ years of experience in the F&B industry and his journey has taken him around the world. From managing a top local restaurant to now leading an entire region.
His career with Marriott International started in 2014 where he has held on-propriety, Continent, and F&B leadership roles with increasing scope and responsibilities. Since joining Marriott Caribbean and Latin America region in 2018, he leads the design and development of restaurant concepts and functionality of overall hotel F&B spaces. His contribution is instrumental in elevating the discipline and creating a unique experience across all the Restaurants and Bars in Marriott Hotel Brands including Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis, W Hotels, and Luxury Collection, among others.
Prior to that, Luis held the role of Director of Bar Concepts at W Hotel in Washington DC, where he was responsible for the F&B operations for this unique Marriott luxury property, including a full spectrum of F&B outlets; from an award-winning rooftop bar & lounge to signature restaurants and event venues.
Over the course of his career, he has worked in senior-level roles such as AGM at the world’s famous Buddha Bar DC, Corporate Director at AmRest training in Europe on developing new concepts for the US market, and GM at Art and Soul DC working alongside with celebrity chef Art Smith.
Luis is based in Miami, Florida where he enjoys his morning coffee with his wife, Annie, and an afternoon walk with his daughter, Olivia, and his one-year-old son, Thiago.
