Born in Jakarta and educated in Singapore and Germany, Yulia Gandasari has since lived and worked across Europe and Asia. Over more than 20 years as an architect and designer, she has contributed to building projects across the cultural, corporate, healthcare and hospitality sectors, including at Dominique Perrault and GMP Architekten.
In recent years she has specialized in hospitality, leading design departments at Accor and Limehome, where she oversaw development, new hotel openings and the management of design brand standards. This experience has given her a perspective that spans all three sides of a project – designer, brand and owner – and a clear understanding of what it takes to move from concept through construction to opening day, with attention to long-term asset value.
Now based in Paris, she recently founded roomnumber26, offering both design services and consultancy across hotel project development, brand standards and operational advisory for owners and operators.
